A PAIR OF FRENCH EBONISED ORMOLU MOUNTED BRASS AND SCARLET TORTOISESHELL INLAID SIDE CABINETS
19th century, in the manner of Boulle
With foliate edge and acanthus leaf frieze with moulding below, enclosed by premier and contrepartie doors in the manner of Berain depicting foliage and birds with trellis work and scrolls between canted inlaid angles applied with satyr masks, the sides with masks and palmette ornament, the back of the contrepartie cabinet with an octagonal label inscribed in pen '93?'
