The breastplate (fitted with ornament of 1830 Model), steel with formed border (bearing brass studs), the rest faced with brass, the breastplate engraved MRE. IMPLE DE CHATT June 1860 and stamped 2eme Taille 1ere Largeur and with numbers (no lining-hooks inside), the ornament (secured by wing-nuts) in the form of a rayed steel sunburst mounted with a cockerel of 1830 Model within wreath in brass, leather linking straps at shoulders each with large brass keyplate-tag and faced with twin brass curbchain
