A very fine example, with high skull of silvered metal, stamped MS & Cie, and 202, with ornate gilt crest bearing red tuft (defective) and black horsehair mane, the front edge embossed with a grenade etc., sealskin band, and ornate gilt plume-socket (no plume), gilt sidebosses with tapered chinscales faced with gilt wire rings, lining inscribed with name HAUTIN
