The first circa 1920, and the second circa 1890
The helmet-plate bearing the full coat of arms of the Union of South Africa mounted on a crowned star plate with title circlet SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE: ZUID-AFRIKAANSE POLITIE, all in gilt brass (the original fixings replaced with brooch pin fitting); and a sabretache-ornament of gilt metal in the form of the Royal Arms, with the mottoes UBIQUE and QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT, complete with fixing-nuts; together with the Arms of Scotland in gilt metal, with three fixing-loops and a small British Royal Arms of 1902-52 pattern (repaired and without fixing-loops)
