AN OFFICER'S POUCH AND EPAULETTES OF A PRUSSIAN LINE CAVALRY REGIMENT
Mid late 19th Century
Small black pouch with patent leather flap with rounded corners and central point to lower edge, the flap mounted with gilt crown above the monogram cypher FWR (one leather tab broken); and a pair of Prussian epaulettes (of Uhlan regiment Nr 6), each with Prussian black and silver lace edging to the strap, the strap and pan faced with red cloth (now faded to pink) bearing a gilt metal crowned C IX R cypher within the white metal crescent, the latter with thin bullion fringe and red lining (2)
