A SOLDIER'S AMMUNITION-POUCH WITH SHOULDER-BELT OF THE GRENADIERS DE LA GARDE ROYALE (1816 MODEL)
Composite circa 1816-30
Pouch of heavy black leather with three brass buckles beneath the box (one for the closure-tab) and a double keeper across back, the flap fitted with a brass grenade at each corner and Bourbon shield etc. in trophy of flags at center (refixed), white buff leather shoulder-belt with a welt along each edge (marked LANGLOIS); together with a small brass grenade badge (lacking two of its prong fixings)
Pouch 6in. deep and 10 5/8in. wide approx.
