Lazare Nicholas Marguerite Carnot (1753-1823), also called "Le Grand Carnot", was a statesman as well as a general. Called the "Organizer of Victory" for his organization and direction of the Revolutionary Armies (1793-95); he was also the governor of Antwerp in 1814 and Napoleon's Minister of Interior during the 100 days in 1815.
