A large Chinese powder blue and gilt hu vase
18th/19th century, Qianlong six character mark
with moulded stag head handles, painted in gilt with tigers, a kylin, stag, a monkey and birds in a landscape of pine and rockwork, the neck with a band of bats amongst clouds, the base painted in underglaze blue and iron red with confronting dragons -- 18¼in. (46.4cms) high, (lower body and base hairline crack, glaze chip to nose of one stag handle).
