A large Cantonese charger
19th century
painted with a central panel reserved with figures on terraces within a stylised key-fret band, surrounded by similar panels on a floral ground with scattered objects; two similar Cantonese chargers with figures on terraces within a band of flowers, birds and insects; and another Cantonese charger decorated with shaped panels radiating from a central flower roundel on a gilt ground of scrolling foliage -- 16in. (41.4cm.) diam max. (areas of rubbing and flaking).
