The original bevelled plate in a carved frame crested with central shell and scroll carved cartouche flanked by scrolled pediments with flowerhead and berried foliate drops, having acanthus carved relief on a salmon-spawn ground and with eagle-head leaf carved scrolls to either side, the apron with a central shell flanked by a pair of brass candle arms cast with espagnolette masks
