The light rust-red field with angular palmette and leafy vine around large and stepped shaded deep indigo medallion with hooked palmette pendants containing palmette cartouches and floral vine enclosing smaller rust-red medallion with stylised radiating floral centrepiece, ivory wide spandrels similar, in broad light rust-red border of bold stylised turtle-palmettes and angular floral vine between floral meander and plain stripes, slight even wear, old repairs scattered throughout the carpet (mainly to the pile), guard stripe rewoven at one end (well blend)
