Lot 5 Oporto-bottled. Embossed wax capsules, three slightly damaged. No labels. Levels into neck. Lot 6 and 7 bottled by Corney & Barrow. Embossed metal capsules. No labels. Levels into neck except four base of neck in lot 7. Lot 8 four with remains of embossed wax capsules and eight with embossed metal capsules, bottled by Corney & Barrow. No labels. Levels: seven into neck (one with signs of seepage), four base of neck and one top-shoulder. Lot 9 Oporto-bottled. Embossed wax capsules, some damaged. Three showing signs of seepage. Bin-soiled and slightly damaged labels, four missing. Levels: four base of neck, three top, one upper, one mid/upper and two mid/low-shoulder. Lot 10 bottled by Corney & Barrow. Embossed metal capsules. Signs of seepage. No labels. Levels: one base of neck, thirteen top, five upper, two mid and one mid/low-shoulder
Tasting note: Most recently, I noted a red-brown tawny; bouquet opening up beautifully; good flavour. And of course it had the customary Taylor backbone. Five stars. March 1998. M.B.
