This lot is offered without reserve. The stylised blocking of M.126-131 prefigure the later linoleum cut portraits of Jaqueline Roque which Picasso produced in the early 1960's. Of monumental strength, they more closely resemble sculpture than prints.

lithograph, 1948, on wove paper, Mourlot's only state, Mourlot calls for five proofs and the signed and numbered edition of 50, inscribed '126', 'M 126' and '6/6 FM' in pencil on the reverse, the full sheet (with a small lower margin), very pale time staining, a few soft scuffs in the lower left corner, pale foxing and minor surface soiling on the reverse, otherwise in good condition, framed
