ten lithographs (nine in black and beige), including two impressions of (M. 224) one in black with smaller margins, 1952, on Arches, the frontispiece signed in ink, Mourlot's only states, Mourlot calls for the edition of 300 on Arches, 300 on India and 3,100 on wove papers, all except the frontispiece inscribed with their respective Mourlot numbers in pencil in the lower right margin of each plate, the frontispiece inscribed 'M 217 á 224 avec justification á signée + etat 224' in pencil on the reverse, second (M. 224) with the Paris Expositions Douanes stamp on the reverse, inscribed 'sans le fond ocre M224-2' in pencil in the lower margin and 'Mourlot No. 37 Balzac, Frontispiece mon tilisé, Hors catalogue.' and 'III/37' on the reverse, all with margins, pale time staining and other minor defects, otherwise all in good condition
