A KASHAN BLUE AND WHITE POTTERY DISH
Central Iran, 13th century
Of broad shallow conical form with flaring rim on short foot, the white interior with a central roundel containing four blue leaves dividing black dotted panels within a black band of reserved naskh, the sides with a broad band of interlaced blue arabesque panels and black dotted panels, a similar band of reserved naskh around the rim, the exterior with radiating waterweed motifs divided by paired blue lines, repaired clean breaks
12 1/8in. (30.2cm.) diam.
