Egypt, circa 11th century
Of typical form, the octagonal superstructure resting on four spreading curving legs, the legs joined by cusped arches, the front with extruded tray with lion head below, two further lion heads above, the five sides towards the back with blind arches, weathered, slight chip
21½in. (54cm.) long; 14¼in. (36cm.) high
