North Iran, early 17th century
Of shallow rounded form with sloping rim and short foot, the white interior painted in blue and green glazes together with red and yellow slips within black outlines under a clear glaze with a central swirling tree rising from the banks of a stream, the border with scrolling floral motifs, the exterior with simple black lines, small rim chips, otherwise intact, good glaze surface
