WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (CIRCA 1100-771 BC)

The wide trumpet shaped body cast to the bulbous mid-section with two bands containing stylised dragons and phoenixes, the upper band with a further pair of relief cast animal masks, all flanked by pairs of raised ribs, a two-graph inscription, Fu Yi, cast within the inner ring foot
10 1/2 in. (26.6 cm.) high

Acquired by the present owner in April 1962.
