A ROCK CRYSTAL ARCHAISTIC PHOENIX VASE AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The vase is finely carved in the form of a standing archaistic phoenix with its long tail feathers curled behind its back, both wings embrace a lidded vase supported on its back, incised with four-characters, Qianlong nianzhi, on one side of the vase (minor chip to foot and knock to breast of phoenix)
