A monumental and impressive French ormolu and bronze clock garniture
Third quarter 19th Century
Comprising a mantel clock and a pair of ten-light candelabra, the clock centred by a white enamel dial, the twin-train movement with countwheel striking on a bell, the movement signed JLES DUCHÊNE A PARIS 551, and further marked JAPY FRERES & CIE, flanked to each side by infant satyr, on a pierced scrolling foliate base, the front with a putto seated on a strapwork cartouche, the conforming candelabra en suite
