The Derby circa 1760, with circular padmarks, the boy incised N 7 and 2, the Mennecy circa 1750, incised with DV for duc de Villeroy
Inspired by a J.J. Kändler Meissen example, painted in colours and enhanced in gilt, comprising: a maiden wearing a summer hat, a tight bodice and a flowered skirt, holding flowers in her apron, leaning against a watering can upon a pedestal applied with a water spouting grotesque mascaroon, on green circular base, 13.4 cm. high; a boy wearing a hat, a flowered vest, holding a flowerpot in his right and a spade in his left hand, flanked by a column applied with leaves, on green circular base, 14 cm. high; the globular creampots painted in colours with flowersprays, with loop handle, the domed cover en suite with berry finial, 8.7 cm. high
