A Meissen porcelain Commedia dell'Arte figure of Pantalone

Modelled by J.J. Kaendler from a group of Columbine and Pantalone, after the engraving Pantalon Ancien by F. Joullain after Callot (1728), painted in colours, the bearded Pantalone modelled bending forwards on his right leg, holding his left leg behind him, his hands behind his back under his long white cloak, wearing a red tunic and breeches ending in yellow tied ribbons on the side of his knees, a knife hanging on his left side from a black belt, further with white stockings and red shoes with black heels, a black cap on his head, the shaped base applied with leaves and a flowerhead
