A rare Dutch Delft manganese-red trompe l'oeuil figural bear sander and cover
Circa 1750, marked with four indistinct 'rosette' marks within circular medallions to the inside of the middle and the lower section
Naturalistically modelled as a fur-encrusted seated bear, the lower section with two paws enhanced in blue, the middle section with two forepaws enhanced in blue, further with a cylindrical pierced sander with tiny blue mushroom finial, the cover as a head with expressive features, further with its tongue sticking out and two ears
