A small Dutch Delft Ary de Milde 'Buccaro'red earthenware silver-mounted teapot and cover
Late 17th century, impressed with a medallion for de Gecroonde Theepot
Inspired by Yixing Chinese examples, the flattened globular body applied with prunus branches in relief, with short oblique spout, ear handle, the flat cover applied with a recumbent buffalo-type animal, the handle mounted with a silver 'promenading' figure and connected with a chain to the spout via the head of the recumbent animal
