Lot Essay

The company of Boin-Taburet, the orfevrerie founded in Paris in c.1875, was famed for its recreations of Rococo styles, -exhibiting in the 1889 Paris and 1891 Moscow Exhibitions. In the former exhibition they were awarded a Gold Medal for a table centrepiece after a design by Juste-Aurele Meissonnier (1695-1750).
