etching and aquatint with extensive hand-coloring, 1924-5, on wove paper, the colors fresh, Kornfeld's rare state I (of III), signed in pencil within the image (with an erased signature in the lower margin), from the edition of only four recorded impressions in this state (this is the only known hand-colored impression in this state), with wide margins, pale mat staining, a ¼-in. tear at the center right margin edge, some stray ink in the margins, minor surface soiling on the reverse, otherwise in very good condition, framed
