A FANCY INTENSE PINK DIAMOND AND DIAMOND RING
Set with a pear-shaped fancy intense pink diamond weighing 3.58 carats, to the pavé-set diamond four-band half-hoop, mounted in 18k white gold, ring size 5
With certificate 0302107 dated 19 February 2003 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the diamond is fancy intense pink, natural colour, VVS1 clarity. Accompanied by an appendix stating that the fancy intense pink diamond of 3.58 carats is classified as type IIa (a chemically very pure type of natural diamond ). It displays a colour and degree of transparency which are particular to the finest of these unique gemstones. Diamonds of this colour and type, exhibiting a fine quality, are rare. Such diamonds have been unearthed from only a limited number of sources around the world (e.g. South Africa, Brazil, and India).
Also accompanied by a note stating that the VVS1 fancy intense pink diamond of 3.58 carats described in Diamond Report no. 0302107 may be improved to internally flawless with minor repolishing.
