With certificate 12310234 dated 3 January 2003 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the diamond is D colour, flawless clarity, excellent polish, excellent symmetry
Also with certificate 0302106 dated 19 February 2003 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the diamond is D colour, flawless clarity, excellent polish, excellent symmetry. Accompanied by an appendix stating that the diamond of 5.98 carats possesses a purity of colour and degree of transparency which are particular to the finest of natural colour type IIa diamonds. Diamonds of this type and size, exhibiting a superior quality, are very rare. Such diamonds have been unearthed from only a limited number of sources around the world (e.g. South Africa, Brazil, and India).
