An early Meissen porcelain Kakiemon floral plate
Circa 1725, marked with crossed swords in underglaze blue
Gilt and painted in colours with branches of indianische Blumen, the rim with red diaperwork reserved with four medallions depicting Oriental terraces, further enhanced with regularly spaced flowerheads of indianische Blumen, on the reverse with branches en suite (minor crack and minor restoration to the rim)
21.5 cm. diam.

The Instituut Collectie Nederland (earlier the Stichting Nederlands Kunstbezit, no. NK3232-A, on loan to the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, 1964). Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, 1972 until restituted to Gutmann's heirs in 2002.
