Lot Essay

The vendor, who worked for Riverman Promotions, recalls that he obtained this Fender fragment from the stage at the London Astoria following Nirvana's set. Kurt Cobain had smashed up the guitar on stage. This lot is accompanied by a colour photocopy of six backstage passes, including the one from the Astoria concert, at which Mudhoney were the headline act, hence their name on the pass.
