A blank postcard unusually signed by three of the group, in blue ink, with their first names only: Paul, George and John, also signed in full by the band's fourth member in blue ballpoint pen Ringo Starr, the card additionally inscribed in McCartney's hand Beatles -- 5½x3¼in. (14x8.2cm.); accompanied by a previously unpublished black and white snap-shot of The Beatles backstage at the Springfield Ballroom, Jersey, Channel Islands, August, 1963, where the signatures in this lot were obtained -- 3½x5¼in. (8.9x13.3cm.) (2)

The Beatles appeared in Jersey, Channel Islands on the 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th August, 1963. According to the vendor, these signatures and the accompanying photograph were obtained for her by a childhood sweetheart who played in one of the local bands supporting the Beatles during their four-day engagement in Jersey.
