Lot Essay

Friday 10th July, 1964 saw a triumphant return by the Beatles to their home town of Liverpool. Cheered on by thousands of Liverpudlians, they drove in a motorcade through the streets and a Civic Reception was held in their honour that evening at Liverpool Town Hall before the Northern Première of A Hard Day's Night at the Odeon Cinema.
