AN EARLY VICTORIAN ORMOLU HEXAGONAL HALL LANTERN
Mid-19th Century
The pierced cresting with stylised acanthus sprays and C-scrolls above trailing flowers and glazed sides, each panel etched with a central starburst, one hinged as a door with fist handle, above a pierced apron of confronting C-scrolls joined by an opaque glass base with later reeded three-light candelabrum fitting and suspension chains, the opaque glass bottom and two glazed side panels replaced
20½ in. (52 cm.) high; 14¾ in. (37.5 cm.) wide
