A GEORGE III STYLE BRASS BASKET GRATE AND A GEORGE III BRASS FENDER
The grate 19th Century and the fender 18th Century
Of typical form with arched cast-iron backplate and spindle front with urn finials, above a pierced waved apron with stylised foliage within pearled borders flanked by out-curved arms with husk and columar supports surmounted by further finials; together with a George III engraved brass fender with moulded toprail above a part-fluted frieze and pierced apron with stylised drapery-swagged central urn flanked by further stylised foliage and pierced ball supports divided by fluted pilasters, with a weighted base
The grate: 26¾ in. (68 cm.) high; 28¾ in. (73 cm.) wide; approximately 13¾ in. (35 cm.) deep, overall
The fender: 6¾ in. (17 cm.)high; 49 in. (124.5 cm.) wide (2)
