AN EGYPTIAN PREDYNASTIC BLACK-TOPPED RED WARE JAR
NAQADA II-III, CIRCA 3500-3000 B.C.
Of ovoid form, the body tapered to small flattened base, with rounded rim, repaired, 8¼ in. (21 cm.) high; a Predynastic ovoid jar with red painted zigzag 'water' motif, a boat with cabin and standing figure, twin wavy handles, mounted inverted, Late Naqada II-III, circa 3500-3000 B.C., 8¼ in. (21 cm.) high; an Egyptian bronze situla, the body with a row of deities in worn relief, a sun barque shown in the register above, mounted, 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) high; and a bronze seated figure of Isis, the infant Horus on her lap, 2½ in. (6.3 cm.) high, both Late Period, circa 4th-1st Century B.C. (4)
