A ROMAN CORNELIAN INTAGLIO OF A DANCING SATYR

With figure of an ecstatic dancing satyr, his head flung back, a panther skin over his outstretched right arm, with small oinochoe held in his hand, holding a filleted thyrsos with crossed arrow in his left hand, an upturned krater beneath his right foot, in later ring setting
1.7 x 1 cm.; 1.8 cm. across inner hoop
