The long tapering blade with high central ridge, the trapezoid butt pierced with two rivets, bent towards the butt
13 3/8 in. (59.4 cm.) long
Provenance
Reputedly found in the River Blackwater, Brudwell, Essex.

Lot Essay

It has been suggested that the blade was bent deliberately and used as a river dedication.
