A CYPRIOT BLACK-ON-RED WARE BOWL

The deep bowl with two small horizontally attached loop handles, the lower body tapered to small ring foot, the exterior and interior both decorated with bands of encircling lines, repaired, 4 7/8 in. (12.5 cm.) high; a Bichrome Red Ware dish, the flat everted rim pierced twice and decorated with triangular frieze in black and white, the exterior with red, black and white encircling bands, wavy line beneath the rim; and another shallow bowl, similar ware, twin loop handles on the rim, encircling lines in red and black, both Cypro-Archaic, 750-475 B.C., 8 1/8 in. (20.6 cm.) and 6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) diam. respectively (3)
