The long cylindrical shaft with narrow flanged base, the upper section with three vertical relief panels of a herringbone motif divided and bordered by parallel ridges, similar grooved band around the base, 6¾ in. (17.1 cm.) high; a similar Elamite bronze mace head, with four prominent vertical rows of spikes, with dividing cord-like bands, 7 5/8 in. (19.3 cm.) high; and a Luristan bronze mace head, the upper body with a segmented swelling, bordered by grooved bands, 5 5/8 in. (14.3 cm.) high, both late 3rd millennium B.C. (3)
