AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE FIGURE OF OSIRIS
CIRCA 4TH-1ST CENTURY B.C.
Wearing atef-crown with uraeus, holding crook and flail, the back pillar surmounted by an attachment loop, another at side of base, mounted; and a bronze figure of Isis, standing with left leg advanced, wearing tiered wig and sun disc headdress between cow's horns, remains of a cobra coiled around her outstretched right arm, Ptolemaic, 3rd-1st Century B.C.
3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) and 3¼ in. (8.3 cm.) high respectively (2)
Provenance
Acquired during the 1940s by the late father-in-law of the present owner.
