Lot Essay

The Educa viewer was made by the principal French maker of stereoscopes of the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries, A. Mattey of Paris. Mattey used the Unis name for their better quality products. The Educa was a unique design and was sold with a set of forty-two plates. Each plate showed twelve interleaved stereo pairs which were brought into view by the side lever.
