An unusual Imari 'Weaving' wine ewer and cover
Early 18th Century
Of hexagonal melon shape with squared serpentine spout and loop handle, painted, enamelled and gilt on one side with a lady seated at a loom by an open window, and on the other side with two boys drinking tea in front of the open doors, the conforming cover enamelled with a fish, a crab and shrimp around the gilt bud finial, cover rim frits
