An Arita blue and white circular stand and a kakiemon style dish
Early 18th Century, the second circa 1700
Painted after a Chinese Kangxi example with a lady and gentleman in a fenced garden of bamboo, plantain and rockwork, hairline rim crack, 21.5 cm. diam.; and a footed dish painted in the Kakiemon palette with peonies and fruiting pomegranate sprays issuing from rockwork, the base with a six character Chinese mark Qi yu bao ding zhi zhen (precious object of rare jade among treasured vessels), rim chips, 22 cm. diam.
