A SEVRES VERT POMME LOBED PLATE (ASSIETTE 'A GUIRLANDES')
Blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter G for 1759-1760, painter's mark for Taillandier, incised D
The center with a flower spray, the wide border with a looped green ribbon edged in gilt and enclosing a conforming garland of flowers, heavily tooled flower garlands issuing from each downward curve of the ribbon and centering a green ground lobe, gilt line rim
9 7/8in. (25cm.) diam.
Provenance
Probably from one of two services sold by the factory in 1760: one on 29 March 1760 to Antoine-René de Voyer d'Argenson, marquis de Paulmy; the other throughout the second quarter of 1760 to Mme. Lair.
