A SEVRES (HARD PASTE) CHINOISERIE CREAM-JUG, CUP AND SAUCER (POT A LAIT 'A TROIS PIEDS', 2EME GRANDEUR; GOBELET 'LITRON' ET SON SOUCOUPE, 3EME GRANDEUR)
Both with crowned iron-red interlaced L's enclosing date letters bb for 1779, painter's mark for L'Ecot, gilder's mark for Prévost, one foot of the jug incised with a script A picked out in green to make it legible
En suite with the previous tray and from the same service, the cream-jug with two vignettes of figures on the decks of ships sailing in opposite directions from behind islets with stylized rocks forming arches, the cup with pairs of figures chatting in a similar landscape, the saucer with a sailor disembarking from his ship onto an islet
