A LOUIS XV/XVI TRANSITIONAL BOIS SATINE, AMARANTH, TULIPWOOD AND PARQUETRY COMMODE
Circa 1770 and remounted, stamped G.SCHLICHTIG and JME
The rectangular breakfronted and eared mottled grey marble top, above two conforming drawers veneered sans traverse, the bottom drawer with shaped lower edge, the sides and front with panelled parquetry, flanked by rounded corners set with piaster and oak swag mounts, on cabriole legs with laurel chutes and scrolled acanthus sabots
