A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED MAHOGANY AND ACAJOU MOUCHETE BUREAU-PLAT
Circa 1780, stamped F. BURY and JME, possibly originally a cylinder bureau
The rectangular top with inset brown leather writing-surface and stippled banding, above a leather-lined writing-slide to each side, above the ebony and fruitwood-banded frieze with three short drawers to one, one of these fitted with inset divides and with coffre-fort, to the reverse with simulated drawers, the sides with medallions, on chandelle-decorated fluted turned tapering legs with sabots
