A coloured copy of Volume VII from the rare Spanish edition of Blaeu's Atlas Maior, containing 60 regional maps of France and six of Switzerland. Blaeu began work on the Nuevo Atlas in 1659, completing 10 volumes over a period of 15 years, which became known as the Atlas Maior in editions printed from 1662 onwards. Koeman/van der Krogt 2:641.7 (Koeman does not call for the map of Valesia listed in the index but not present in this volume.)
