A hexagonal Cairoware brass Kursi
19th century
decorated with silver and copper inlay, the top with a central kufic roundel with gilt calligraphic inscription surrounded by further roundels among openwork and bands of calligraphy, the six sides with similar openwork decoration, one side with hinged doors, the turned feet below shaped arches -- 33½in. (85cm.) high.
