Regarding auspicious days, signs of the zodiac, the interpretation of dreams, phases of the moon, eclipses etc, Persian manuscript on paper, each page with tables and charts in red and black nasta'liq, opening bifolio with illuminated heading and margins and gold clouds between the lines of text, with dedication to a royal person -- 47 x 29cm.

Lot Essay

The date of the year to which the calendar refers is given as 'year 26'. However it appears that a '1' has been erased from either side.
The ruler to which the calendar was dedicated has a half page of titles but the name has been partially erased and overwritten and is no longer legible.
